Electric automaker Tesla is moving to slash 9 percent of its workforce.
CEO Elon Musk said in an email to employees that as Tesla has grown in recent years, there's been some “duplication of roles and … job functions that … are difficult to justify today.”
Musk noted the cuts would largely be made among Tesla's salaried employees.
