Tesla Inc.'s stock slumped in its S&P 500 debut yesterday.
The electric car maker's shares dipped by 5.1% in morning trading. After opening at $666.24 per share yesterday, the company's stock closed at $649.86 per share.
The data indicate some investors sought to capitalize on Tesla’s addition to the S&P 500, according to The Wall Street Journal.
