Tesla hits milestone with 4th straight quarter of profits

After years of losses, Tesla now has reported its fourth straight quarter of profits for the first time in company history.

The electric vehicle maker posted net profits of $104 million. Revenue slipped 4.9% to roughly $6 billion but still beat analysts' expectations of $5.2 billion.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk also announced the company would build its next U.S. factory in Travis County, Texas, near Austin. The plant is slated to build the company's first pickup truck, among other vehicles.
