Tesla Inc.’s board announced yesterday it's forming a special committee to discuss taking the company private.
The move comes as at least three shareholder lawsuits have been filed after Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted about his desire to take the company private.
Tesla officials said in a statement the committee "has not yet received a formal proposal from Mr. Musk ... nor has it reached any conclusion as to the advisability or feasibility of such a transaction."
