The Tesla Board of Directors is awarding CEO Elon Musk a $29 billion pay package.
The pay package includes 96 million Tesla shares.
Tesla officials said in a letter to shareholders that Musk has “not received meaningful compensation for eight years." The company is also working to reinstate his 2018 pay package amid a shareholder lawsuit.
