Tentative deal reached to avoid rail strike

A rail strike has been avoided for now.

Freight rail companies and unions representing tens of thousands of workers reached a tentative agreement. Railroad workers agreed not to strike as a ratification vote is tallied.

Talks were brokered by Labor Secretary Martin Walsh, President Joe Biden said.
