TeleTech leads local hiring efforts

Posted online
Denver-based TeleTech Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TTEC) is again seeking hundreds of hires for its Springfield call center.

The company is one of four partnering this week with the Missouri Job Center and the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board for hiring events, said Megan Short, city of Springfield communications coordinator.

TeleTech held a hiring fair yesterday in Branson and is plans two more in the next few weeks. The company seeks to add up to 160 positions to its Springfield workforce, Short said, comprising at least 100 health care insurance sales representatives and 30-60 general customer service representatives to start by August.

Earlier this year, TeleTech held hiring fairs seeking 230 full-time and 70 seasonal positions to its over 900-employee call center at 1720 N. Primrose St.

Today, the job center and workforce board are partnering with Pleasant Hope pork processing plant Moon Ridge Foods, which needs another 60 production workers.

The organizations also are working today with Branson-based Festiva, a vacation ownership company hiring 10-15 salespeople and sales managers.

On Monday, Integrity Home Care Inc. held a hiring event at the job center’s Branson office for 10 home health care workers, Short said.
