Denver-based TeleTech Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TTEC) held a job fair yesterday with two more planned this month to hire 300 additional employees for its Springfield call center.
Spokeswoman Kate Andersen said via email the employees - 230 full-time and 70 seasonal positions - would add to the Springfield facility’s current slate of 900 workers.
At its 1720 E. Primrose St. call center, a hiring event was held 10 a.m.-4 pm. yesterday. Two others are planned at those same times March 8 and March 22, according to a news release.
“Hiring locally and providing career opportunities to the Springfield community has been TeleTech’s commitment for over nine years now,” said Clayton Cooper, TeleTech operations director, in the release. “We continue to acquire projects that match the strengths and skills available in Springfield’s workforce.”
The new customer service, technical support and inbound sales representatives would service TeleTech’s global financial, consumer, and insurance clients. The employees are scheduled to be hired within the next three months.
TeleTech provides business outsourcing services, including marketing, sales and customer care, in over 80 countries via 41,000 employees. The company’s 2015 earnings are scheduled to be released March 14, according to its website. In 2014, the company posted net income of $77.4 million, an 8.3 percent increase form $71.5 million in 2013.
TTEC shares were trading at $28.73 as of 9:19 a.m., compared to a 52-week range of $22.95 to $30.75.
