TelComm collects donations for Ozarks Food Harvest

TelComm Credit Union will be collecting nonperishable food items and cash donations at its Nixa and Republic branches for Ozarks Food Harvest.

Box trucks will be outside the Nixa branch, 338 N. Massey Blvd., from 8 a.m. tomorrow through 4 p.m. July 16 to accept food items. Trucks will be outside the Republic location, 161 W. U.S. Highway 60, from 8 a.m. July 27 through 4 p.m. July 30. Both branches will also accept cash donations in their lobbies during those times.

Ozarks Food Harvest provides food for 37,000 people in southwest Missouri each month and distributes more than 4 million pounds of food annually.

The need for food is growing; demand for services at the food bank has increased by 11 percent in the last five years.
