“You buy it Monday and it’s outdated Tuesday. We’re looking at lighting grids for our facility and some of the first LED technology that was so hot a year ago is now obsolete, so what do you do,” asks Scott Opfer, President of Opfer Communications. Opfer says though purchasing equipment is a normal part of reinvesting in your company, it’s frustrating because technology is advancing so rapidly. He says they try to upgrade equipment as needed in small batches to lessen the impact on their bottom line.
