A Science and Technology Conference at Fort Leonard Wood will provide a forum for the U.S. Department of Defense to preview futuristic technologies that will eventually comprise the tools and weapons American troops use to fight wars.
The focus of the event, which will be held Aug. 7-8, will be on homeland security and force protection. It is not open to the public.
Hundreds of university and businesses researchers and scientists from 50 military and federal agencies responsible for developing the equipment and weapons used in combat operations and homeland defense will attend the two-day event.
They will view, discuss and see demonstrations of the technologies.
