TeamBank exec relocates to be Great Southern director

Great Southern Bank has hired an executive with recently acquired TeamBank as director of residential lending in Springfield.

Steve King previously was director of retail for TeamBank and will relocate from Paola, Kan., to Great Southern's 1451 E. Battlefield Road office. In the past, King also served as director of retail lending at TeamBank and has worked in the mortgage and lending industry since 1996, according to a news release.

Great Southern acquired Kansas-based TeamBank earlier this year.

King is responsible for managing Great Southern's mortgage division across its four-state franchise. He replaces Bart Evans, who opted to become a residential lending originator with the bank, according to spokeswoman Kelly Polonus.

Springfield-based Great Southern operates 56 banking centers in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska and has loan production offices in Overland Park, Kan., Rogers, Ark., and St. Louis.
