Tax reform hangs in balance in critical week for GOP

The U.S. Senate is expected this week to debate the GOP's tax reform plan. It likely will be a tough fight.

Following the House passing its version of the bill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, doesn't appear to have the 50 votes needed, according to Politico.

At least half a dozen Republican senators have expressed doubts about the proposed legislation.
