Tax assistance centers ready to answer questions

Posted online
With tax season at hand, the Missouri Department of Revenue is reminding the state’s residents that tax help is available at tax assistance centers throughout the state.

In Springfield, the department’s tax assistance center is in Room 313 of the state office building at 149 Park Central Square.

A Joplin office is at 1110 E. Seventh St., Ste. 400.

Other offices are in Cape Girardeau, Jefferson City, Kansas City, St. Joseph and St. Louis.

“The department encourages taxpayers to utilize the tax assistance centers or the department’s Web site (www.dor.mo.gov) to obtain answers to any questions they have regarding their tax filings,” said Revenue Director Omar Davis, in a news release.

Help also is available by calling (573) 751-2836 for business tax questions, or (573) 751-3505 for personal tax questions.
