Target's MasterCard settlement: $19 million

Target has agreed to pay MasterCard-issuing banks as much as $19 million to reimburse losses related to the 2013 hack that resulted in up to 40 million accounts being breached.

According to USA Today, the settlement pays back banks for reissuing credit and debit cards after the breach, as well as fraudulent charges on the cards.

The action follows a class-action lawsuit with individual cardholders the company settled for $10 million in March.
