Timber Falls Indoor Water Park is scheduled for completion by early November. The new park will be centered around a three-story "Ozark Wilderness" treehouse area topped with a six-foot-wide wooden bucket. |ret||ret||tab|

The bucket will tip over at intervals, cascading more than 700 gallons of water on individuals standing below. Timber Falls will have more than 600 feet of water slides two slides from the tree house and two from an adjacent tower and an activity pool with water basketball and other games. There also will be an oversized whirlpool and a lazy river area for floating. Locker rooms, seating and a full range of concessions are included in the project. |ret||ret||tab|

"Our new water park will be open year-round," said Fred Dehner, general manager of Tan-Tar-A. "Along with our new Bear's Den Arcade, the water park will increase Tan-Tar-A's variety of indoor activities for families and youth groups."|ret||ret||tab|

Tan-Tar-A offers more than 30 recreational activities, including 27 holes of golf, horseback riding, swimming, bowling, waverunning, parasailing, miniature golf and tennis. |ret||ret||tab|

In addition to the new water park, several improvements have been made or are under way at the resort. The 4,000-square-foot Bear's Den, added this spring, features more than 50 games and a full-service ticket redemption center. Tan-Tar-A's bowling alley is being renovated to complement the new Bear's Den. |ret||ret||tab|

The opening last year of a new 130-room tower marked the completion of a $15 million renovation and expansion project. With the addition of the tower, the resort offers 497 rooms in its main lodging complex and more than 1,000 lodging rooms of all types.|ret||ret||tab|
