Tampa-area Bass Pro to break ground a year after incentives approved

More than a year after Hillsborough County officials approved a $6.25 million subsidy to bring a Bass Pro Shops store to Brandon, Fla., construction is about to begin.

The Tampa Bay Times reports a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled April 24 at the Estuary shopping complex.

The Bass Pro store is expected to open in spring 2015.
