Japan’s Takeda Pharmaceutical offered to acquire Irish drugmaker Shire for $62 billion.
The cash-and-stock deal worth $66.53 a share comprises $30.33 of cash.
If the deal goes through, it would be the largest overseas acquisition by a Japanese company, according to Fox Business.
