ATA International, formerly the American Taekwondo Association, is breaking ground Wednesday on its new $13 million, 25,300-square-foot world headquarters in Little Rock, Ark.
The campus-like headquarters will feature a three-story office tower with three wings for a museum, video production and an international martial arts training center. The training center will host most of the association’s activities, and that wing will include a fitness center for ATA’s 75 employees.
The project is slated to be finished in August 2016. The organization has been based in Little Rock – its annual World Expo brings in tens of thousands of people to the Arkansas capitol city each year – but the new headquarters consolidates video production and training facilities and eliminates some ongoing need for travel.
