Taco Bell's dream of beer milkshakes will have to wait

Excited about pairing your lobster taco with a blueberry beer from Maine? Shelf that enthusiasm for the time being; Taco Bell is still looking for a place to serve beer and tacos.
 
The fast-food chain's new upscale-casual restaurant, U.S. Taco Co. & Urban Taproom, couldn't secure a liquor license for its first location in Huntington Beach, Calif. Plans to pair 50 beers with tacos and burritos have been replaced with suggested taco-soda matchups at the flagship location, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
 
Any diner disappointment over being denied the chance to finally pair a waffle taco with a beer and Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake should be shortlived - Taco Bell still intends to add taprooms to future locations.
