Taco Bell, KFC lead Yum Brands' sales

Yum Brands, the owner of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut, posted overall fourth-quarter same-store sales of 3 percent globally, above the 2.5 percent rate analysts expected.

KFC, Yum’s largest brand, grew by 3 percent, above 2.8 percent forecasts.

Taco Bell produced 6 percent sales growth, beating the 4.5 percent figure anticipated by Wall Street.

While Pizza Hut's same-store sales remained unchanged, analysts expected a 0.2 percent dip.
