T-Mobile US Inc. and Sprint Corp. may complete deal talks as early as next week, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The combined company would have some 127 million customers. The deal would better position T-Mobile and Sprint to compete with Verizon Communications and AT&T, the top two wireless companies.
T-Mobile majority-owner Deutsche Telekom and Japan’s SoftBank Group, which controls Sprint, are reportedly attempting to determine who would have voting control over the combined company.
