T-Mobile offers $650 to customers switching carriers

Posted online
There’s a promotional price war going on in the wireless landscape and if you’re currently an AT&T, Sprint or Verizon customer, T-Mobile will pay you $650 to switch sides.

In an attempt to catch up with industry rivals, the wireless carrier announced Wednesday that it would lock in permanent promotional rates and offer small businesses and owners competitive plans along with free help in claiming and building websites for smartphones, according to CNNMoney.

In the announcement, T-Mobile’s chief operating officer Mike Sievert called small businesses “a group that’s been totally left behind”.

Over the past two years, the wireless provider, owned by Bellevue, Wash.-based T-Mobile US Inc., has done away with contracts and roaming fees, cut per-minute call and text charges and instituted phone upgrade and rollover data plans for its customers.
