T-Mobile CEO mocks Sprint, Royals

Posted online
T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE: TMUS) CEO John Legere, a frequent critic of Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S), publicly mocked the Kansas City Royals and Sprint together on Thursday, a day after the Royals’ Game 7 loss in the World Series.

On Twitter, Legere wrote: “Congrats to #worldseries champs, @SFGiants. The royals just couldn't @sprint to the top... see what I did there?”

Legere has been known to utilize social media before to needle Sprint and others, according to the Kansas City Business Journal. A fan of the New York Yankees – which did not make the playoffs – Legere has gotten himself in hot water before. He once apologized for using social media to say AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless are “raping you for every penny you have.”
