Symposium exposes export-financing options

Posted online
A symposium Wednesday will help small-business owners identify finance programs available to them that can expand the region’s international trade.

The Greater Ozarks International Trade Association will present the 5:30 p.m. event at the Tower Club, 901 E. St. Louis.

“Small businesses are where the greatest potential for U.S. export growth lies,” said Barry Bint, business development officer with the U.S. Export-Import Bank’s midwest regional office, in a news release.

Bint, along with Missouri Finance Development Board International Finance Manager Alice Bernard-Jones, will speak at the event.

Topics planned for the evening include currency inconvertibility, loss of assets or income due to political climate changes, obtaining loans to produce goods or services for export and export credit insurance.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 for GOITA members and $15 for nonmembers.

The deadline to register for the event is today. To reserve a seat, call Missouri State University’s Small Business Development Center at (417) 836-5685.[[In-content Ad]]
