Two southwest Missouri insurance executives are charged with leading the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents.
Byron Robison, director of Great Southern Insurance in Springfield, and Scott Brothers, president of The Insurancenter in Joplin, were installed as MAIA's vice president and president-elect, respectively, during the organization's leadership conference on July 23. MAIA's 2009-10 president is Belinda Brenizer, president of Hawkins Insurance Group in Edina, and Doug Clift, president of Bowersox Insurance Agency in St. Louis, is secretary-treasurer, rounding out the group's four executive offices. John Huff, the newly named director of the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registrations, led the installation ceremony.
Robison has served as chairman of MAIA's government relations committee for the last 11 years and was a regional director 1999-2005. He also serves on the public relations committee.
Brothers, a regional director 1998-2004, has spent time on MAIA's producer development and leadership conference committees.
Founded in 1899, MAIA represents about 4,000 independent insurance agents, brokers and their employees, who sell all lines of insurance as well as employee benefit plans and retirement products.[[In-content Ad]]
