The state Department of Natural Resources has awarded nearly $2.4 million to the southwest Missouri city of Pineville.
The money is earmarked to improve drinking water systems for the city, which is located in the southwest corner of the state.
The project includes removing radioactive particles from Pineville’s currently inactive Mountain Ridge Well, according to Missouri Business Alert.
