Swiss mining company to pay Democratic Republic of Congo $180M

Swiss mining company Glencore agreed to a $180 million settlement with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Glencore faced corruption claims, including bribing officials.

The company has agreed to pay $1.6 billion worth of fines this year.

So the fines and settlement will simply go to ANOTHER set of government "officials". That's much better.
