Chief Executive’s April confidence survey pointed to an increase in CEOs who expect an economic slowdown this year.
Of the more than 300 CEOs polled for the survey, 62% predict a slowdown or recession in the next six months. That compares with 48% in the previous survey.
The survey found 14% of respondents think an upcoming recession would be severe, compared with 3% previously.
