Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy is calling for a warning label on social media apps.
“The mental health crisis among young people is an emergency — and social media has emerged as an important contributor,” Murthy said in an op-ed published by The New York Times.
Murthy is calling on Congress to pass a bill that would implement warnings labels.
