Supreme Court's first post-Scalia deadlock involves Mo. bank

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday reached its first deadlock following last month's death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

The bankruptcy case that's been pending since Oct. 1 is a bankruptcy dispute between a Missouri bank, the Community Bank of Raymore, and a development company that defaulted on its loans.

As a result of the deadlock, the bank emerges victorious because of an earlier decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, according to USA Today.
