The U.S. Supreme Court today is scheduled to begin reviewing a privacy rights fight between Microsoft Corp. and the Justice Department.
The nine justices will preside over a case that would determine whether U.S. law allows prosecutors to force technology companies to hand over data stored overseas.
The case stems from a 2013 warrant that Microsoft challenged. U.S. prosecutors wanted information stored in Microsoft computer servers in Dublin related to a drug trafficking investigation.
