The Supreme Court today is scheduled to hear arguments from Goldman Sachs in a long-running case.
A decision from the court could have major implications for shareholders seeking to bring securities-fraud lawsuits, CNBC reports.
At issue is a marketing investment known as Abacus, which was advertised by the bank, according to the report. Investors have alleged Goldman Sachs failed to disclose hedge fund manager John Paulson had a hand in selecting Abacus' portfolio of subprime mortgages and placed bets on its failure.
