Supreme Court sides with Samsung in Apple patent case

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Samsung on Tuesday in a patent infringement case with Apple.  

The ruling reverses an earlier order that Samsung would have to pay Apple $399 million for violating various Apple design patents. The case will return to lower courts. 

The ruling comes at good time for Samsung, which has suffered losses from the fallout of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.
