The U.S. Supreme Court has blocked President Donald Trump from firing Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook.
The decision was made with a 5-4 vote.
Trump moved to fire Cook in August 2025. It's the only time in the Fed's history that a sitting president has sought to remove a Fed governor.
