Super Saturday sets sales record

Super Saturday set a record for single-day U.S. sales.

On the last Saturday before Christmas, sales reached $34.4 billion, according to retail consulting and research firm Consumer Growth Partners.

Comparatively, Black Friday hit $31.2 billion and Cyber Monday netted $19.1 billion.
