Brown is the son of Summer Fresh owners David and Lesley Trottier. Brown previously served as director of store operations.
Summer Fresh has six stores in southwest Missouri. The Trottiers started the chain in 1998 after selling Smitty’s Supermarket Inc. in Springfield to Albertson’s; the first Summer Fresh store was opened in Lamar in 1999.
