The former Pendergrass Food Fair is located about 40 miles northwest of Springfield.
Summer Fresh is remodeling the store with new signage, equipment, décor and parking lot, according to a news release. Features include a meat department, a full-service deli and a beverage center.
The acquisition is part of Summer Fresh’s goal to expand in southwest Missouri during the next five years, according to the release.
Summer Fresh closed one location last fall, when the company sold its West Plainview Road building to the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.
