Project description: Building No. 4 of the Jordan Valley Innovation Center is a multistory expansion on the southern side of the campus. The work includes the removal of a portion of the existing structure and connected to a recently completed update to the Phelps Street streetscape. In downtown Springfield, JVIC is a space for Missouri State University researchers, students and corporate partners to conduct research and development. Clark-Huesemann LC (Lawrence, Kansas) is the project architect. Olsson Inc. is the civil and geotechnical engineer and landscape architect. Additional engineering work is by Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural, and Ross & Baruzzini Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Two candidates are vying for a seat being vacated by term-limited Springfield Mayor Ken McClure, who is serving his fourth and final two-year term.
