Clinton United Methodist Church addition and renovation
601 S. Fourth St., Clinton
Originally constructed in 1952, the United Methodist Church in Clinton has remained largely untouched since the last addition nearly 45 years ago. BRP Architects is designing upgrades that include a fellowship hall and music ministry additions, security improvements, audiovisual upgrades and an interior renovation. Officials say the renovation is intended to make the space more open, improve wayfinding, enhance the visitor experience and increase safety. Westport Construction Co. (Clinton) is the general contractor, J&M Engineering LLC is the structural engineer and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The project is slated for completion in August 2021.
