Summer 2019 Construction in the Ozarks: Sonrise Baptist Church

Project description: Sonrise Baptist Church plans to move to a new building with a 3,200-square-foot sanctuary and seven large classrooms. A second planned phase would add 16,000 square feet on two stories for more classrooms and office space, project architect Greg Mitchell has said. Located across the street from Ozark West Elementary School, crews broke ground on the project last fall. Cody Ritter of contractor Base Construction & Management has said the new church also will be built with a 1,400-square-foot front drive-thru canopy. An opening in late fall is a push back from its target opening this summer. Engineering work is provided by Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC, civil and structural, and Vandersluis Engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
