Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is the structural engineer for the $11.4 million Dallas County Technical Center, a project to bring career readiness courses to students in the Buffalo area. Plans call for the center to connect to Buffalo High School but with its own student entrance. The program emphasizes hands-on learning spaces and courses in mechanics, computer information, criminal justice, construction, agriculture, health sciences, graphic arts and welding. Dake Wells Architecture Inc. is the project architect. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Inc. is the civil engineer, and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. A general contractor has not been selected yet.
