The Kitchen Inc. support services building

Ireland Architects Inc. is designing a 12,800-square-foot support services building for nonprofit The Kitchen Inc. Just north of the Glenstone Avenue and Chestnut Expressway intersection, the facility will be the permanent location for office personnel and will provide direct access to the adjacent shelter building on the site. Officials say the general contractor is currently out to bid. Engineering work is by Heithaus Engineering & Associates Inc., civil; J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective will provide interior design services. The project is slated for completion in January 2020.
