Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.
Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center, 2323 N. I-35E, Denton, Texas

Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is working with Springfield-based O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC to build an Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Denton, Texas. The $60 million to $65 million project comprises an 11-story, 318-suite hotel with an adjoining Houlihan’s restaurant and an 80,000-square-foot convention center. The convention center has a 2,000-seat ballroom with multiple breakout meeting rooms, and Denton’s convention and visitors bureau will be located within the center. Engineers on the Silver-certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design project are Freese and Nichols Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical electrical and plumbing. The project is expected to be complete in summer 2016.

nForm Architecture LLC
Randolph County Administration Building, 372 Highway JJ, Huntsville

NForm Architecture LLC is designing a 24,000-square-foot addition and renovation of the Randolph County Justice Center to form an administration building. The $5 million project, funded through an April tax initiative, will consolidate numerous county departments and renovate the existing justice center to include a second courtroom. Energy-efficient heating and cooling systems and lighting will be incorporated. Project engineers are Shafer, Kline & Warren Inc., civil; J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc., mechanical electrical and plumbing. The project is expected to be complete in winter 2016.

Bates & Associates Inc.
St. Louis Heart & Vascular, 3550 McKelvey Road, Bridgeton

Bates & Associates Inc. is designing a 22,000-square-foot, two-story integrated cardiovascular center featuring a licensed catheterization lab, ambulatory surgery center and clinical offices for The Marcus Organization. The $5 million project is expected to be complete in June. Project engineers are 21 Design Group Inc., civil; RCM Technologies Inc., structural; and R.G. Vanderweil Engineers PC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Innersite Inc. is handling interior design work.

Sapp Design Associates Architects PC
Sherwood Elementary School, 2524 S. Golden Ave.

Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is working with Springfield Public Schools to design a $15.1 million net zero elementary school, a building that uses very little energy and is powered completely through solar panels and/or wind turbines. The natural sciences-themed school also features a unique partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, making it the first in the state with a dedicated Boys & Girls Club in the school building. DeWitt & Associates Inc. will handle general contractor work with engineers Toth and Associates Inc., structural; Olsson Associates Inc., civil; and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is expected be complete by July.

Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative
Kickapoo High School, Phase I, 3710 S. Jefferson Ave.

Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative is handling architectural and interior design work for the first phase of Springfield Public Schools’ $8.4 million renovation to Kickapoo High School. Working with general contractor DeWitt & Associates Inc., the project includes a student commons addition and a cafeteria renovation. An HVAC system also will be installed. Project engineers are Toth and Associates Inc., civil and structural; and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The project is slated for completion in December.

Insight Design Architects LLC
Ozarks cabin, Taney County

This $200,000 weekend retreat features a main floor living and kitchen area, a walkout basement bedroom suite and a loft overlooking the main floor. A deck wraps the house, offering panoramic views of the Ozark Mountains. The main living area is surrounded by glass on three sides. A general contractor and engineers have not yet been selected for this project set for completion in spring 2015.

Hood-Rich Inc.
Enid Municipal Parking Garage, 202 South Grand Ave., Enid, Okla.

Hood-Rich Inc. is designing a $6 million parking garage for the city of Enid, Okla. Expected to be complete in fall 2016, the 250-vehicle structure will be a cast in place concrete parking garage adjacent to the Enid Events Center and proposed Hilton Garden Inn. Project engineers are Envirotech Engineering, civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; Larson Binkley Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and HWA Parking, parking consultants.

Paragon Architecture Inc.
McDonald County High School Performing Arts Center, 100 Mustang Drive, Anderson

Paragon Architecture Inc. is working with the McDonald County R-I School District on an approximately 11,575 square foot precast concrete Federal Emergency Management Agency tornado safe room that will house the McDonald County High School Performing Arts Center. The $4.5 million project includes an auditorium with raised performance stage, adjoining green room and storage areas, restrooms, mechanical mezzanine and attached entry lobby for a total 17,000 square feet. Expected to be complete in 2016, Nabholz Construction Corp. is the general contractor and engineers are Tri-State Engineering Inc., civil; Toth and Associates Inc., structural; Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins, mechanical electrical and plumbing; and Paragon 360, audio and visual design.

H Design Group LLC
Township 28, 3900 Lone Pine Ave.

H Design Group LLC is architect, interior designer and brand consultant on Township 28, a residential community within Springfield’s Galloway Village. The seven brick structures were inspired by urban neighborhoods and include 138 lofts and a central clubhouse. Funded by Oakstar Bank, owner Township 28 LLC declined to disclose project costs. Project engineers are Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC, civil and structural; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical electrical and plumbing. A timeline for completion is undetermined.

GHN Architects Engineers
Willard Fire Station No. 1, 220 N. State Hwy Z, Willard

GHN Architects Engineers will serve as architect, engineer and interior designer on a new station for the Willard Fire Protection District. The fire station will include administrative offices, a training room, gear room, day room, bunk rooms and a six-bay garage, all expected to be complete in June. Olsson Associates Inc. is providing additional civil engineering for the $2.47 million project. Larry Snyder & Co. is general contractor.

Baron Design & Associates LLC
Sidewalk Plaza Shopping Center, 3233 E. Sunshine St.

Architect Baron Design & Associates LLC has teamed with owner Raga Properties LLC to design a shopping center on the city’s east side. The one-story building features 9,412 square feet of retail space to be divided by five tenants. The building is a steel frame structure with stone, wood and stainless steel accents and bright colored awnings. Estimated for completion in December, project engineers are Lee Engineering and Associates LLC, civil; Miller Engineering PC, structural; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical electrical and plumbing. Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. is general contractor.

Jack Ball Architects PC
Osagian Canoes LLC office addition, 301 Carmeco Road, Lebanon

This two-story, 3,650-square-foot office addition for Osagian Canoes LLC and its parent company Carmeco Inc. will increase company office space by 300 percent. The $525,000 building features glass for added visibility inside with exposed steel beams, concrete floors and exposed conduit. Owner Carmeco will fabricate many of its own products such as handrails, guardrails, stairs and the sun shades. Set for completion by late September, project engineers are Pinnacle Design Consultants and LaRose & Duncan Engineering Inc. General contractor on the project is True Construction and Remodeling Inc., and interior design is by Audrey Gerard at Grooms Office Systems.

Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc.
Corbett Law Firm PC remodel, 2034 E. Chestnut Expressway

The remodeling of Corbett Law Firm PC will revamp the reception and lobby area, reconfigure attorney offices and paralegal workstations, and add additional conference rooms. A major element of the redesign includes an existing garage, which will be converted into movable file storage. Set for completion in January, project engineers are Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. A. Deckard Interiors isinterior designer on the project.
Torgerson Design Partners LLC

Air Medical Group Holdings Inc., office, hangar and helipad, West Plains


Air Medical Group Holdings Inc. is a parent company to several air medical services including Air Evac Lifeteam, Med-Trans Corp., Eagle Med and Reach, among other air medical subsidiaries. This 41,000-square-foot office building will serve as an operational base to 350 employees and include an onsite helipad and crew quarters for a new air evacuation medical base in West Plains. The Arvest Bank-funded $4.5 million project is set for completion in March. Adams Construction will serve as general contractor, and project engineers are Heithaus Engineering & Associates Inc., civil; J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc., mechanical electrical and plumbing.

Smith-Goth Engineers Inc.
HomePride Bank, 113 N. Jefferson St., Ava

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is working with architect Paragon Architecture Inc. to design a HomePride Bank branch in Ava. Slated for completion in January, the 3,500-square-foot bank features two drive-up banking lanes with provisions for a third, along with a drive-up ATM, teller area, offices, conference room, restrooms and support spaces. Federal Construction Co. is serving as general contractor with additional engineering work from Toth & Associates Inc, civil, and J&M Engineering LLC, structural.

Miller Engineering PC
Solo Cup building loading docks, 1100 N. Glenstone Ave.

Miller Engineering PC is providing structural engineering for owner Davis Properties Inc. to add loading docks to the Solo Cup building. The additions, expected to be complete this winter, will provide truck dock access to each suite throughout the building, separate interior spaces into multiple suites for current and future tenants, update exterior finishes along the north side of the building and provide miscellaneous tenant infill throughout the building. The general contractor on the project is Q & Co. LLC, with design work from architecture firm Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative. Additional engineering work is by Olsson Associates Inc., civil; and Green Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.


Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC
Ingram Mill Villas, Ingram Mill Road and Catalpa Street

Structural engineer Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC is working with Mill Partners LLC on an independent living elderly housing development on 5.32 acres. The project comprises 43 units within seven buildings. Project architect is H Design Group LLC with additional engineering work from Olsson & Associates Inc., civil, and Colvin Jones Davis, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Larry Snyder Co. is general contractor. Construction will kick off this fall; a completion date is not yet determined.

Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.
Friendly Ford remodel, 3241 S. Glenstone Ave.

Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is structural engineer and architect for the Friendly Ford remodel and brand update. Interiors will be upgraded, customer interaction areas expanded, service drives reconfigured and a quick lane service area will be added. In the more than $1 million project, the preowned and new truck sales department also will move to a new building and the sales lot will be reconfigured by winter. General contractor is Dock Brothers Construction Co., and Zanaboni-Smith Design Studio will serve as landscape architect. Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is providing mechanical, electrical and plumping engineering.

Interpres Building Solutions LLC
Willow Springs Middle School addition, 215 W. Fourth St., Willow Springs

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer Interpres Building Solutions LLC is working with the Willow Springs School District on a $2.2 million addition. The project consists of approximately 14,000 square feet of addition to an existing school facility. The middle school addition is two stories totaling nearly 9,000 square feet, and a one story prekindergarten addition totals 5,000 square feet. Dake Wells Architecture Inc. provided design work with additional engineering from White River Engineering Inc., civil, and J&M Engineering LLC, structural. Mountain Grove-based Peterson Construction Inc. is serving as general contractor on the project slated for completion later this month.

Olsson Associates Inc.
South Creek channel

The South Creek channel is a 1-mile, concrete-lined urban streamway running through Springfield. Working with the city on the $1 million project, engineer Olsson Associates Inc. will help restore the creek to a more ecological condition. Improvements to enhance habitat and improve water quality along this stream will require evaluating the existing available elements and constraints to determine the most beneficial strategies to meet the city’s project goals established through its EPA grant. The  project is supplemented by partners Habitat Architects and Robert Pavlowsky of Missouri State University. The project also involves stakeholders, including the James River Basin Partnership and Ozark Greenways. Construction is set for completion in October 2015.


CJW Transportation Consultants LLC
Reliable BMW remodel, 3500 E. Sunshine St.

Civil engineer CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is working to remodel and update the existing preowned center into a new Reliable BMW dealership with showroom, service and parts slated for completion this spring. Bates & Associates Inc. is architect and interior designer on the project. Additional engineers are Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural; and Colvin Jones Davis, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. DeWitt & Associates Inc. has signed on a general contractor.

Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc.
Lebanon Middle School, Evergreen and Fremont streets, Lebanon

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc. is working with the Lebanon R-3 School District on a $28 million bond issue project to build a new middle school. The 177,580-square-foot structure on 45 acres will accommodate 1,200 students, with added space for future growth to 1,400 students. The practice gym also will serve as a tornado safe room. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is project architect with additional engineering work from Olsson Associates Inc, civil; and Toth and Associates Inc., structural. The project is set for completion in August.

Latifi Engineering
Paradise Point Lodge, 250 Lakewood Drive, Hollister

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer Latifi Engineering is working with owner Bluegreen/Big Cedar Vacations LLC on a set of $23 million timeshare units. The two, four-story buildings are 52,000 square feet comprising 30 units and connected by a 10,000-square-foot centralized lodge with indoor and outdoor pool amenities. Bates & Associates Inc. will serve as architect and interior designer for the project set to be complete in January. Larry Snyder Co. will serve as general contractor with additional engineering work from Mike Stalzer, civil; and Security Design Group, structural.

Wells & Scaletty LLC
Lebanon Marketplace, Lebanon

Structural engineer Wells & Scaletty LLC is working with owner Jared Enterprises Management Co. LLC on a complete remodel and infill of the existing 145,000-square-foot Southdale Center in Lebanon. Bates & Associates Inc. is architect on the project slated for completion this fall. Additional engineering provided by Latifi Engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

Mettemeyer Engineering LLC
Grand Resort Hotel and Water Park, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Structural engineer Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is working with owner, general contractor, civil engineer and interior design firm Colorado Springs-based Executive Custom Construction Inc. and Randal Home to design an $8 to $12 million hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. The four-story structure will have approximately 110 rooms. The first floor has a large lobby area and an entrance porte cochere, or coach gate. The hotel will include a water park and 3,000-square-foot mezzanine area slated for completion in 2015. Additional engineering work provided by Hoss and Brown Engineers PC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing and design work from Mike Hughes Architects PC.[[In-content Ad]]
