Baron Design Associates LLCPanera Bread Bakery Cafe and shopping center, South Holland, Ill.
Baron Design Associates LLC is the architect for a Panera Bread eatery and retail space for Hamra Gateway LLC. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the project, which will include a drive-thru for Panera and 7,700 square feet of commercial retail space. A general contractor has not yet been chosen. Completion is slated for early 2013.
Bates & Associates Inc. Murney Associates, 1615 E. Primrose, Ste. A
Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect for the new offices of real estate firm Murney Associates. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, with interior design by bcDesignGroup. Morelock-Ross Builders is the general contractor for the project, set for completion this summer. The company’s office space is anchored around employee meeting space that blends a conference room and a lounge, giving Murney team members a place to gather between showings and meetings.
Buxton Kubik Dodd CreativeMercy East Pavilion/South Facade, Phase 1, 1235 E. Cherokee St.
Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative is the architect, working with Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects (Little Rock, Ark.) for Mercy’s renovations to the east tower of its main Springfield facility to house children’s services, offices and treatment areas on all floors. The main floor will feature a new main entrance dubbed “the lantern,” as well as a new cafe and a gift shop. Ronald McDonald House is under construction on the sixth floor. Engineers are SSE Inc., (St. Louis) structural; SWT Design (St. Louis), landscape; Olsson Associates Inc., civil; and Heideman Associates Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Buxton Kubik Dodd Creative also is the interior designer for the project, and McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. is the general contractor. The roughly $17.9 million project is scheduled for completion in July.
Esterly Schneider & Associates Inc. St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark
Esterly Schneider & Associates Inc. is the architect for a new community center at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. The engineers for the roughly $1.5 million project are Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical electrical and plumbing; Bob D. Campbell & Co. Inc., structural; and Anderson Engineering Inc., civil. The general contractor is DeWitt & Associates Inc. The 11,850-square-foot multipurpose facility adjacent to the church includes a commercial kitchen, dining area, gym, six classrooms and a stage. Completion is slated for December.
GHN Architects/EngineersAirport terminal, Pomona
GHN Architects/Engineers is providing all design services – architecture, engineering and interior design – for an airport terminal building at West Plains Municipal Airport in Pomona for the city of West Plains. A general contractor has not yet been selected for the roughly $500,000, 2,500-square-foot project, to be built on the foundations of the existing metal terminal building. The project will bring online garage bays for maintenance and a fire truck. Completion is slated for fall 2013.
H Design Group LLCRepublic Schools Master Plan, Phase I, Republic
H Design Group LLC is the architect for a roughly $8 million project comprising several new buildings as well as renovations and additions for the Republic R-III School District as a result of the district’s master planning process and bond campaign. Engineers are Toth and Associates Inc., structural; CJW Transportation Consultants LLC, civil; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Interior design is by Interior Planning Consultants. Components include a 21,000-square-foot early childhood center, a Federal Emergency Management Agency-rated gymnasium, classroom wing additions and playground improvements. Completion is slated for August 2013.
Hood-Rich Inc.TelComm Credit Union, 1750 E. Republic Road
Hood-Rich Inc. is the architect and the civil and structural engineer for a TelComm Credit Union branch at the corner of Charleston and Republic Road. Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Cathy King is the interior designer. MoDoCo Inc. is the general contractor for the project, which entails renovating a former convenience store into a full-service credit union branch with a drive-thru and covered ATM. Completion is slated for October.
Hufft ProjectsFarmers Park, intersection of Harvard Avenue and Republic Road
Hufft Projects is the architect of record and interior designer for Green Circle Projects’ Farmers’ Park mixed-use development, working in conjunction with Bates & Associates Inc. The engineers are: Lee Engineering LLC, civil; Meridian Structural Works, structural; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Landscape architecture is by Land 3 Studios. A general contractor has not yet been chosen. The roughly $19 million project will have retail, class A office space, apartments and park space developed around a community farmers’ market. Completion is slated for fall 2013.
Insight Design Architects LLCHistoric building renovation, 214 E. Commercial St.
Insight Design Architects LLC is the architect for the rehabilitation of a Commercial Street building for owner Chris Whitcomb. Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC is the structural engineer, and Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. R.E. West Construction is the general contractor. The owner, design team and contractor are collaborating with the city’s Landmarks Board to ensure the renovation is sensitive to the historic Commercial Street neighborhood. The renovation is scheduled for completion by fall.
nForm Architecture LLC nForm office, 312 W. Commercial St.
nForm Architecture LLC is the architect and general contractor for renovations to a 1,500-square-foot brick building on Commercial Street for owner/developer 312 W. Commercial LLC, of which nForm partner Jennifer Wilson is the registered agent, according to the Missouri secretary of state’s office. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and J&M Engineering is the structural engineer for the roughly $30,000 project. The building’s exterior is being restored to its original design, and interior work includes removing partitions for a more open floor plan and adding a conference room. Completion is slated for this fall.
Paragon Architecture Inc.Performing arts center, Cassville
Paragon Architecture Inc. is the architect for a community arts center for the Cassville R-IV School District. The engineers are Toth & Associates Inc., structural and civil; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. A general contractor has not been chosen. With an estimated cost of $2.2 million, the 11,362-square-foot multipurpose space will have areas for performing arts and a gymnasium and also is designed to function as a Federal Emergency Management Agency safe room. Completion is slated for spring 2013.
Sapp Design Associates Architects PCIrving Elementary School, Joplin
Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect for Irving Elementary School for Joplin R-VIII Schools. The engineers are Toth & Associates Inc., structural; Allgeier Martin and Associates Inc., civil; and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Construction management services are being handled by Universal Construction Co. Inc., and interior design is by Interior Planning Consultants Inc. With an estimated $16 million price tag, 85,000-square-foot school is designed to accommodate up to 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The project includes a multipurpose room and cafeteria, as well as two Federal Emergency Management Agency safe rooms. Completion is slated for December 2013.
Slone Architects Inc.Table Rock Community Bank, Kimberling City
Slone Architects Inc. is the architect and interior designer for a 4,400-square-foot Kimberling City branch of Table Rock Community Bank. The engineers are Tom Edelman Engineering, structural; and Vandersluis Engineering Inc., civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The single-story bank’s exterior will have brick, stone and decorative metal, and interior highlights include a rock-faced accent wall. Krause Enterprises Inc is the general contractor for the project, which has an estimated cost of $1 million and is slated for completion in the fall.
Warren & Goodin Engineers-Architects PCPanera Bread No. 2705, Lawrence, Kan.
Warren & Goodin Engineers-Architects PC is providing architecture and engineering design for Original Bread Co.’s Panera Bread store in Lawrence, Kan. Ed Moore Construction Inc. is the general contractor for the roughly $800,000 project, which is a rebuild that expands the store by half to 4,526 square feet, with seating for 131. A new exterior facade and new fixtures and furnishing also are included. Completion is slated for September.
Engineers
CJW Transportation Consultants LLCAven Avenue extension, Nixa
CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is the engineer for a Nixa city street that would allow for a limited access break along U.S. Highway 65 for improved access to Village Marketplace and surrounding properties. CJW worked with the McCroskey Plaza Merchants Association, the city of Nixa, the Missouri Department of Transportation and Jared Enterprises to coordinate the design for the $180,000 extension. With general contracting by APAC-Missouri, the project is slated for completion in the fall.
Colvin Jones Davis LLCBrick City campus buildings No. 1 and 5
Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for buildings No. 1 and 5 in the Brick City campus for Brick City Two LP in downtown Springfield. H Design Group LLC is the architect, and Wells & Scaletty is the civil and structural engineer for the roughly $10 million project. Build LLC is the general contractor. Missouri State University’s art department and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy will be the tenants for this third phase of the Brick City Redevelopment Project that comprises 63,050 square feet in two buildings. Completion is scheduled for May.
GHN Architects/EngineersClinical simulation center, 815 N. Sherman Ave.
GHN Architects/Engineers is providing all engineering, architecture and interior design for Ozarks Technical Community College’s allied health clinical simulation center in Lincoln Hall. With an estimated price tag of $246,000, the lab will have four specialized patient rooms, including a birthing suite and emergency room, with the same technology used at area hospitals. There also will be live medical gas connections and video recording systems for the center, which will collaborate with area health and education organizations to provide training for nearly 650 OTC students enrolled in allied health programs.
LaRose & Schober Engineering Inc.Pyramid Foods office, Rogersville
LaRose & Schober Engineering Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and structural engineer for Pyramid Foods’ office building for Pyramid Foods and Jared Enterprises. Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect, and Missouri Supermarket Builders is the general contractor, with interior design by A. Deckard Interiors LLC. Set for completion this fall, the project entails renovations to a 50,000-square-foot former general store. Designers used building information modeling to create a 3-D smart model of the building to aid in decision making and the creation of construction documents.
Latifi Engineering Missouri Career Center, 2900 E. Sunshine St.
Latifi Engineeing is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for renovations to a former Price Cutter store for owner/developer Jared Enterprises to house Missouri Career Center. Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect, and Wells & Scaletty LLC is the structural engineer. Timberworks Building & Design LLC is the general contractor for renovations to the more than 40,000-square-foot store. The project, set for completion this summer, includes reconfiguring the interior with separate wings for each career center division and a multipurpose room. The exterior also was remodeled to give the center a distinct identity.
Lee Engineering LLCBear Village, 815 S. Kimbrough Ave.
Lee Engineering LLC is the civil engineer for Phase II of the Bear Village apartment community for owner/developer Bryan Properties. Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect, and other engineers are Wells & Scaletty LLC, structural; and Colvin Jones Davis LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. is the general contractor for the four-story, $30 million project, which will have a rooftop patio and roughly 30 units. Completion is slated for this summer.
Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc.Diamond International, 2635 Diamond St.
Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for Diamond International’s sales and service facility. Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is the architect, interior designer and structural engineer for the roughly $6.1 million project, which comprises 60,000 square feet. There will be 28 service bays and an $18,000-square-foot parts department. Rich Kramer Construction Inc. is the general contractor, and White River Engineering Inc. is the civil engineer for the project, scheduled for completion is slated for May.
Mettemeyer Engineering LLC Ozark Prosthetics and Orthotics, Joplin
Mettemeyer Engineering LLC is the structural engineer for a 7,400-square-foot facility in Joplin for Ozark Prosthetics and Orthotics. It is one of several planned projects in a neighborhood devastated by the May 2011 tornado. H Design Group LLC is the architect. Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC is the civil engineer, and Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. With design assistance from Euro World Design, the project is architecturally themed in European style. The building will have rooms for exams and casting, as well as areas for rehabilitation and administrative services. Completion is slated for spring.
Miller Engineering PCGambles T-Stop, Republic
Miller Engineering PC is the structural engineer for Gambles T-Stop, a convenience store and fuel center truck stop with a restaurant and retail in Republic for Eclipse Event Center LLC. GHN Architects/Engineers is the architect and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is the civil engineer. Interior design is by GHN and Color Art-Facilities Management Services Group (St. Louis). The general contractor is McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. (St. Louis). The roughly $4.5 million project is set for completion in June.
Olsson Associates Inc. Spillway, Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave.
Olsson Associates Inc. is the civil and electrical engineer and landscape architect for a spillway project at Close Park for the city of Springfield. The project, which has an estimated cost of $550,000, includes the design of structural, hydraulic and geotechnical improvements for the spillway outlet. Improvements include stabilizing the existing spillway using elements such as sculpted concrete and stacked-block walls. Other work entails designing a trail plan and profile, including detailing the pedestrian bike rail and trail construction, and crafting a plan for a bioroom, a naturalistic area for circulating water into and out of a wetland area. Completion is slated for spring.
Pinnacle Design Consultants LLCFamily Medical Center, El Dorado Springs
Pinnacle Design Consultants is the structural and civil engineer for a 5,662-square-foot family medical center in El Dorado Springs for Citizens Memorial Healthcare. The architect is H Design Group LLC. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Creative Design Consultants Inc. is the interior designer. The clinic will include exam and X-ray rooms, offices and areas for mental health and administrative support services. A general contractor has not yet been selected. Completion is slated for May.
Toth and Associates Inc. Sheriff’s office and Jail, Stockton
Toth & Associates Inc. is the structural and civil engineer for a new sheriff’s office and jail for the Cedar County Commission in Joplin. The architect is Goldberg, Sullivan & McCrerey Inc. (St. Joseph), and Engineers Consortium Inc. (Kansas City, Kan.) is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Zahner Hansen Construction Group Inc. (Brentwood, Tenn.) is the general contractor for the roughly $4.2 million project, which comprises a 14,500-square-foot, 52-bed jail and sheriff’s office with a 13,000-square-foot parking garage on the ground floor. Completion is slated for spring.

Warren & Goodin Engineers-Architects PC
Eaton Corp., Mountain Home, Ark.Warren & Goodin Engineers-Architects PC is providing all architecture and engineering design for an expansion of Eaton Corp.’s high pressure hose division. Gregory Co. Inc. is the general contractor for the roughly $2 million project, which entails a 15,000-square-foot rigid frame addition to the existing factory. Also included are a new boiler room, air compressor room and bulk air pad, as well as upgrades for plumbing, gas, mechanical and electrical systems. Completion is slated for March 30.
Wells & ScalettyBattlefield Plaza, 303 E. Battlefield Road
Wells & Scaletty is the structural engineer for Battlefield Plaza, a retail building for Jared Enterprises. Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect. A general contractor has not yet been selected for the 8,500-square-foot project, located in the southeast corner of Battlefield Plaza. CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is the civil engineer, and Latifi Engineeing is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Completion is slated for this fall.
