Posted online

Address: 128 Garfield, West Plains

General Contractor: Not yet selected

Estimated Cost: $1.6 million

Mettemeyer Engineering is the structural engineer for a renovation and addition of a turn-of-the-century brick house donated to MSU-West Plains for its academic outreach programs. Dake Wells Architecture Inc. is the architect. Smith-Goth Engineers Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Lee Engineering is the civil engineer. Environmental Market Solutions Inc. is the sustainability consultant, and Interior Planning Consultants is the interior designer. The design includes a classroom addition to the house, which, when finished, will anchor the southeast corner of the campus quadrangle. White columns and broad overhangs will identify two entry points, and a shed roof will screen rooftop mechanical elements and admit daylight to upper-floor classrooms via clerestory windows. Completion is slated for spring 2010.[[In-content Ad]]
