Theworkshop 308 is the architect and interior designer for Howell Creek Property Company Inc.’s historic rehabilitation of the Howell Creek Shoe Factory Commons in downtown West Plains. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Meridian Structural Works Inc. is the structural engineer. Environmental Market Solutions Inc. is the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design consultant for the project. The project comprises 92,000 square feet, including 50 residential units to house 200 occupants, meeting and retail space and outdoor community courtyards. Storm water management, geothermal heating and cooling and maximum daylighting are included in the design. Completion is slated for summer 2010.
