Butler, Rosenbury & Parrtners is the architect and structural engineer for the renovation of this 123,000-square-foot building, which was built in 1915. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Following a full restoration by owner and developer Gryphon Building LLC, the five-story structure’s tenants will include a retail boutique, an art gallery and class-A office space. The building’s full basement will become a 31-space secure parking garage. The project will utilize historic tax credits and brownfields funding incentives. Work includes careful recreation and restoration of the original parapet and canopies based on photographic evidence. High-efficiency heating and cooling systems and roof-mounted solar panels are among sustainable techniques included in the design. Completion is slated for summer 2009.[[In-content Ad]]
