Summer 2008 Project Profile: Wanda Gray Elementary School

Estimated cost: $5.45 million

The 18,125-square-foot addition to this Springfield R-XII School District facility will include all new HVAC for the building, which was previously without air conditioning. The project also features renovation, including gutting most of the existing building and expanding the library. Additions include five kindergarten classrooms and a gymnasium. Project Manager Aaron Hight said crews are currently doing HVAC, electrical and drywall work and are working overtime to get much of the project finished for the 2008-09 school year.
