Springfield, MO
Designed by C. Warren Bates Jr. & Associates, Architects
Begun in 1993, construction continues on this growing Dearborn Development project. Chesterfield Village was developed to be a complete community including single-family homes, apartments, offices, retail stores and entertainment facilities. The project is located in Springfield at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and James River Freeway. A unique element, and challenge, of this development is that the commercial portion, Chesterfield Square, was designed to be "a step forward in concept, a step back in time," recreating the neo-classic architectural style of America in the 1920s. The latest addition to the development is a new facility for Empire Bank (above), which is now under construction.[[In-content Ad]]
